Hiking & swimming couples session

It is HARD to find a swimming hole in Colorado, but those hot and dry summers are relentless. My best friend and I finally found one outside of Colorado Springs, a stream fed cove you have to hike into. I knew as soon as I got there that I would want to do a session there. The rock formations and the way the light hit the water was insanely beautiful.

I asked my friends Patti & Frankie to model for me in the early morning, which was quite a risk since I knew the water would be freezing. Surprisingly enough and after much trepidation on my part, the water was perfectly fine. Patti & Frankie blew me out of the water (swimming hole pun) with their intimacy & vulnerability. These photos fill my heart with tenderness, even looking at them months later.
