Colorado elopements & micro weddings, photographed on hybrid film & super 8 video

Not a traditional wedding. Not an adventure elopement.

Just the two of you and the colorado wild and wonderful.

Make it yours —

Elopements are usually branded as "non-traditional", but is there anything more traditional spending your elopement day doing things you love to do together?

Windswept ceremonies at the top of a mountain pass. Cozy cabin mornings in Crested Butte. Sunrise hikes in the Rocky Mountain wilderness. Loved ones' faces lining candlelit tables at your favorite restaurant in Telluride.

There's no one way to elope.

Hike 4 miles or none. Bring 15 of your favorite folks or just your sweetheart. This is about YOUR blend of trends, traditions, and adventure, not anyone else's. Your elopement can be (and should be) anything that feels like you.

Kind Words

A 35mm film photo of a bride during her rainy autumn micro wedding in Colorado

We truly could not have asked for a more thoughtful, talented, and kind person to capture our day. From the first time we spoke, Ayla was so helpful and knowledgeable. It felt like every concern was resolved before we could even begin to get stressed about them. We were able to focus on just enjoying the day and she really helped us embrace the excitement & beauty in a rainy wedding day. She made everyone feel so comfortable, both hanging with her and in front of the camera. She felt like a close friend celebrating with us more than a hired photographer. Every tiny, intimate moment was caught so beautifully, looking at them makes us feel like we are right back in that moment.

what’s included in every elopement collection… and why

Film Photography

In the seven years I have shot film, it has never failed to fill me with wonder. Film is about slowing down, the accidental magic. I photograph your elopement on a mix of digital and film (or full film, if requested). My digital work is edited with film emulation profiles for the full hybrid experience. You can expect between 25-40% of your final gallery to be on film.

bespoke Location & Planning Guidance

In love with the idea of a Colorado elopement but not sure how to actually do it? You’re not alone. I’ve helped dozens of couples just like you create their dream elopements. I've spent half of my life here and hiked, camped, and driven every part of this beautiful state. You’ll receive bespoke location recommendations tailored to your vision and a 50 page elopement or micro wedding planning guide filled with my favorite tips, tricks, info, and inspo.

Inclusive Pricing

Your dream of a Telluride wedding in the fall can quickly become an avalanche of nickels and dimes from vendor travel fees and upsells. It’s important to me that my pricing is all-inclusive, and that the very few add-ons you may choose are discounted as a thank you. Full Colorado travel, lodging, and film is included in one flat rate.

Quick elopement photo Turnaround Times

When you chose to celebrate your marriage with an elopement rather than a wedding, that meant sacrificing the presence of a lot of folks you know and love — aunts, uncles, cousins, high school friends, college friends, elderly grandparents, etc. I turn around your preview gallery around in 24-48 hours and your final gallery delivery in one month to make sure you can share your elopement with the folks you love, even if they weren’t able to be with you on the day.

A note about guest count:

Kind Words

We truly cannot recommend Ayla enough! She went above and beyond our expectations and her responsibilities, and made sure we felt comfortable, happy, and stress free the entire day! Her sweet and calming presence made the entire day more special. And on top of all of that, her photos are INCREDIBLE! We are absolutely blown away by her work. She is someone we not only now consider a friend, but would book again in a heartbeat!
