Sunrise Micro Wedding in Colorado Springs
Heather & Sheldon, high school sweethearts, visited Palmer Park in Colorado Springs and knew that was where they’d be married. On an early September morning, they gathered with their closest friends and family to make it happen as a wave of rosy sunrise illuminated Pikes Peak behind them.
Palmer Park is completely free to have your ceremony at, and they even have a picnic area reservable for a reception, or you can head into Colorado Springs and reserve a restaurant or brewery space.
When we shoot camcorder or super 8 videos, we always ask what kind of message you’d like in your film. Some folks do vows or letters to each other, but Heather and Sheldon chose to speak to the camera and all of their loved ones that couldn’t attend the ceremony. They were having a reception two weeks later in their hometown, and we thought it would be so fun to give everyone a sneak peek of Heather and Sheldon’s elopement day.
This wedding was captured on digital, 35mm, and cassette camcorder film.
